In math this week students solved problems involving decimals and learned how to convert fractions to decimals. Students also learned how to calculate percent, and how it relates to decimals to fractions.

In language students finished their iMovie trailer, and attached their trailer to their poster using an app called Aurasma. Students and parents can view the trailers by holding a device up to the posters. Their iMovie trailer will magically play! Students also completed their persuasive essays. 

In science the grade fives continued a research/ design and make project on natural disasters and the structural features that are used to withstand them.  The grade sixes are delving into a unit on space In phys. ed. we continued our new unit on gymnastics. Students presented gymnastics routines, which they created and performed to music. In health we continued to talk about human sexuality, focusing on puberty.
