In math this week, students learned about variables, and how to solve algebraic equations using various strategies. There will be a short quiz on algebra next week, that will include a review of finding patterning rules, as well as long multiplication and long division.
In language students finished their announcement writing task. They also had their summarizing quiz returned with feedback. Students have begun to work on two projects related to our inquiry on health. The first is a script for a commercial. The company, "Director's Cut" will join us next Friday to help the students film and edit their commercials. Students have also begun posters on a healthy product. Both these projects tie together media literacy with health.

Finally, students prepared for and lead their student-led interviews. I was very impressed with the level of the students' self reflections!
