In math this week we continued our unit on measurement. Students wrote a quiz on linear measurement, capacity and mass. Students have seen their marks but the tests haven't been sent home yet, as a couple of students have yet to write the quiz. It will be sent home as soon as those students have finished. We will continue to learn about measurement, and will explore perimeter, area and volume next.

In language students continued to research and write paragraphs for their social studies project. We also looked at example diary entries and students have begun to write those as well.

In science grade fives continued their project on energy. They are designing and building a toy, device or product that transforms energy. They will then create a TV commercial to sell it.  Grade sixes are learning about electricity and are working on a similar project.

In health and phys. ed. students corrected their puberty test, and those tests went home to be signed. We also continued our unit on soccer.
