In math this week, students learned how to identify and create nets of different solids. Students also practised for, then wrote the Mathematica contest. Results of the contest will be announced in late May or early June.

In science the grade 5's began a project on energy. They will create a product, toy or device that transforms energy, then sell it using a commercial. Grade 6 students continued to learn about space. We also went on a field trip to the science centre where grade 5's learned about energy and the grade 6's studied flight.
In art students began to work on a piece of art based on the work of the artist Keith Haring. Also, Zoe's mom, Arianne, began to help us with our canvases. The theme is diversity, and our class will be created a collage based on religious symbols.
